A New Direction: A History of Royal Food and Feasting

What does it mean to ‘eat like a king’?

Much of the information on this blog comes from a course on Futurelearn which you can do yourself for free (link to follow) – other information comes from general research across the web.

When you hear the phrase, ‘eat like a king’, what comes to mind? Over the course of the next few weeks (and months), I’ll explore the dining habits of five notable kings and queens, in a bid to find the best answer to this question. We shall see.
